This chapter illustrates the authentication process when the configuration is done.

Prerequisites:

• Mobile PKI method is configured as explained in the previous sections
• An appropriate agent is configured to use the method (in this case SAML SP for Java Sample Application is used)

Unregistered User Authentication Process

This section illustrates the authentication process for an unregistered user.

1. The user enters his mobile phone number and the spam prevention code

2. The mobile PKI transaction begins. User must check that the Event ID provided in the browser matches with the message sent to mobile phone.

Registered User Authentication Process

This section illustrates the authentication process for a registered user.

1. The user authenticates using their credentials using for example password authentication method.
2. Mobile PKI authentication process is started. The user must have a mobile phone number defined in the directory. Furthermore, User must check that the Event ID provided in the browser matches the message sent to their mobile phone.
